Common Crimes

There are literally thousands of ways in which a person can break the law and be charged with a crime. One of the scariest aspects of being charged is realizing how much you don’t know: What exactly are they accusing me of? What will happen to me if I am convicted? What can a lawyer do to help me?

At Shelton Legal Services, we deal with these questions on a daily basis and handle crimes from minor misdemeanors to major offenses, including sex crimes, drug crimes, gun crimes, and assaults. Information on some of the more common crimes we handle can be found below. Please bear in mind that these overviews are for informational and educational purposes only and are not intended as (and should not be considered) legal advice.
